    227.5bhp, and 243FTLB run aborted, ran lean after 5700rpm, it is on std intectors and fuel pressure mind,

    not bad for 150bhp std

    the passat is actually more audi than vw, the audis have long had an in line engine with a fwd box...

    its one of the reasons the group b quattros were so difficult to drive, all that 5 cyl weight out the front

    and amazingly enough, the audi gearbox was stuck in the back of the porsche 924/944/968 as a rwd box.
