Mate, this has got to be the best nova on the road!!!
New cars from the showroom don't even look half as good as yours does.
Amazing work Iain mate, can't wait to see on the road
David.

Thank you nick, if anything its your cars aswell as others that give me inspiration and ideas to make me build the nova to such a level of detail and take so much time to make things as good as it/ i can make it.
I agree with what you are saying about ytring to move, dare i say "scene" on with respects to the level of detail and care taken to building top quality cars.
Also thanks everybody for you comments.
Only a small update this week as i have done my back in and off work till it heals up so i only finished the fuel pump bracket, that i made up in work a few weeks ago, that will be fitted to the car when iam able to
The pump is fully insulated in thick rubber sheeting to stop vibration and also because the pump's earthing point is in the mounting bracket that is welded to the pump, so have secured a wire to run off the pump for the earth.
The pump is a facet silver top fuel pump.

Almost forgot about the confusion on the brake calipers.
Well kev had posted pics of "H1GTE" in the scrap yard all burned out, the yard is not to far from my work so thought i would go along and check it out for myself, while talking to the yard owner i noticed the front brakes didnt look like vxl ones a closer look reveiled that they were 280mm Wilwood callipers, so i asked how much for them and the price he said i nearly bit his hand off.
So i took the callipers and discs and off home i went, i stripped them all down and found that under the slightly smoke damaged paint the all the pistons were free moving and there was no damage to the seals at all, so took them to work shot blasted them and re painted them at home, cleaned up the discs ordered new pads and brake lines, they bled up fine and work amazingly.
So like allan has said atleast one part of "H1GTE" lives on !
Before
Primmed
Painted polished letters and a few coats of clear to seal them
