    Split pin worked then

    Were you aware there was a bearing failing, surely you must have heard it?

    Never seen a failure that bad, and minimal damage!

    Many years ago one on my dad's trucks experienced bearing failure, the rh drive axle wheels came out on the half shaft, luckily the half shaft remained in the axle, came out a 2 ft

    I remember being sent down the road (quiet country lane) to pick up the rollers bearings off the road

    I must have been about 8
