Does any one know the physical differences between 1300 and 1400 engine blocks. ie the bore sizes and strokes etc. I have a 1300 block and want to know if i can overbore it to take +60thou 1400 pistons?

The starter motor is in a different position and the flywheel is larger on a 1.4 iirc. Bore spacing should be the same I think but block height may be different.
You would need to use the 1.4 rods as the little ends are different size to a 1300 but the crank is the same.
I'm sure that is not correct as some 1400's run the smaller flywheel, I thought the block is the same fitting with a different starter motor.
Also I didnt think they make +60 pistons for 1.4's, they don't for 1300's.
im sure u can use 1200 pistons in a 1300 and it will change it to a 1400
can the 1300 take the smaller flywheel and run the f10 box then?
it uses the small flywheel and F10 as std. Its 1600's and C14Se that run F13 and larger flywheel.
Cheers for the info. regarding the 1200 pistons in the 1300 block, do you still use the 1300 crank and rods
Also will a c14se head bolt onto the 1300 block. With this combination with the 1300 block, 1200 pistons and standard height 1400 se head, what sort of compression ratio would it be looking at?
12st pistons with 1300 crank an rods. You would probably need to build and measure the cr.
