For sale - 1991 Nova 4 door saloon 1.6
1991 Vauxhall Nova saloon 60,000 miles. I've done alot of work to this car over the past 8 months I've owned it. When I first got it, the drivers door was rusted away completely at the bottom, the arches were a little scabby, as were the passenger doors but no other rust anywhere. A new drivers door was fitted and all the rust on the arches and doors was removed, repaired and painted. All the arches are very good condition which goes along with the condition of the whole car. I have recently fitted a 1.6 89' Astra mk2 engine which ran fine and pulled well until the head gasket went, which was how i was repayed for spending 3 hours cleaning the engine baythis is when i got a new car because i wanted something a little more comfortable and practical. A new head gasket was fitted and now runs fine, I would like to mention that it is still a 1.2 on the logbook because i havent got round to changing it due to the fact that the engine hasn't actually been in that long and i did have intentions of selling it anyway so it is up to the new owner to change it. Along with the 1.6, I fitted the f13 5 speed gearbox and new clutch too. The car is lowered 60mm all round on Astra wheels with 195/50/15 tyres - all of which are very good. Throughout my ownership i have replaced many parts:
-rear wheel bearings
-rear brake cylinders
-front suspension top mounts
-lower arms
-track rod ends
-ball joints
-CV gator
-new nova gsi exhaust
-2ltr 16v brakes
-OMP bucket seats
-OMP steering wheel
The car has tax until February and MOT until 25th July. Other small mods i have done are things like clear side repeaters, clear rear lights, a laguna front splitter, an irmscher grill badge (which cost me £30!) bonnet lifters and probably a few other things that i cant think of. I really hate to see this car go because its been my project and the thing which all my money has gone into.
