Looks a good shell with all the front end stripped of her, Like the pipework
Have got an FMIC in the garage i was thinking about fitting to mine, does it really make much of a difference?
The only thing thats put me off is the lag you said you get now

Kev it is/was rotten. I have fitted a front panel and rebuilt all the front inner wings, slash guards, out riggers, chassis legs and the N/s rear spring cup. It still needs the passenger floor and chassis leg cutting out and remaking plus the drivers chassis leg. Both sills and to be anal both rear arches and the O/s rear spring cup. So all in all most of the chassis will be new by next year as Vauxhall seemed to have made way to many water traps .

Cheers about the pipe work though

If you run less than 18psi IMO I wouldnt bother with an I/c. When i ran the TMIC I had little lag but less top end pull. Now I have the huge 2 1/4 front mount I have a bit more lag.. not a great deal maybe take s another 500rpm to reach full boost where as it instantly achieved it with the top mount. But the top end is better and she will pull harder from arounf 3500rpm. You feel the main difference when your doing say 40mph in fouth and boot it.

Like I said though, less than 18psi the standard boost pipe is perfect, well unless your running a 1.7 then its a different story. The 1.7 does not like not having an I/c full stop!

Hmm i think i'l just leave mines be, it goes and runs well enough as is and to be fair i wouldnt want to lose the economy by mucking about with it

Most of us are going to have to do all sorts of renovations if were gonna keep a Nova anyway so keep up the good work and i'l look forward to seeing your progress

Been fixing the rot on my wings, decided against buy new ones as mine are clean apart from these bits.

Bit of rot across the wing bottoms.

Tab has broke on this one..

Cut the first bit off and made this.

    And welded it on.

    Same for the other side..

    And welded..

Needs grinding up now but looks good other than that! And I have saved a set of wings from being scraped :D

    Ground back the welded today.

I am going to shot blast the inside of the wing along the top edge tomorrow as there are some small rust bubbles. Then I will Zinc182 them
