    hello bud, did you follow the link i sent to remove the SAI system?

    id keep the small block too. i have 1.4 16v in mine and goes well.

    right then its engine time,

    iv got just over £1k for an engine, a LET is just out of reach, + it will more likly need rebuilding so cost is out

    any engine sugestions, the £1k must include (if large block) shafts mounts ect:

    20XE on carbs? Not sure how much the mount kit etc is, but fitting cams into that price would be nice.

    its got to be used everyday, + being a W plate, i doubt it will pass mot with carbs

    i was thinking of just sticking some secondhand throttle bodys on it

    Carbs can work well on a daily if set up properly, as long as you don't get addicted to the noise and the MOT will be for a 2.0 Corsa... which defaults onto a pre 93 test.

    as you see john, i sold the omega as was not happy with the 25mpg i was getting, atleast with IBTB ill keep some form of mpg, against carbs

    No it doesn't it defaults to a 2000 Corsa, you need proof of engine age to get away with the pre-cat test, so the engine has to be from a Vauxhall made before the 31st August 1992!
