    Default C16XE running problems

Been running my recently converted c16xe nova for about 10 days now, has been running well untill a few days ago, started running on 3 cylinders, waggled no1 spark plug lead and it came back to life so a set of new plugs and leads and its running like a tractor. Its usable at low revs but as soon as you put your foot down it just a nightmare, leads i took off were shot so i thort it would have sorted it any ideas maybe its the coil thats gone down ? or is there any other problems that these engines suffer from ? Cheers Phil.

c16xe doesnt have a coil? Could be dispack - have you put leads on the wrong way?

Yes coil pack just above the throttle body, that was my next thought but dont want to throw good money away really And there are numbered, plus its not a massive misfire its still driveable but its there and greatly affecting performance under load.

Also check plug gaps and fuel pressure but more than likely coil pack
