    Default powder coating alloy wheels ??

    im thinking of getting my alloys powder coated but i've heard it can weaken them has anybody had them done before and is it ok to get them coated ??

    Dervy got his done, they are really good however the paint reacted and went pink in some areas, but just ask him if you like

    I know from experience, in some cases, although durable, the colour itself can fade.

    Yes in theory it can weaken them.

    You know how it works, but putting anything cast in an oven to circa 180degrees C, then taking out to cool will put it through a mild heat cycle.

    I havent known a wheel to break, and my dad used to run a unit doing powdercoating for classic bikes, and we never had anything break etc.

    So Id say they will be fine, Im having my speedlines done next few weeks, but still unsure on a colour
