    Default Xe block question

I know that the 2.0 8v blocks are the same as a xe block

But what about the later p reg blocks ? Are these the same , have been offered a 2.0 8v engine that was new from
Vuax not long ago , just need to know if I can use the block on my xe

And a pic of said engine

    Cheers all

I will NEVER and I mean NEVER use an 8 valve block with a 16valve head again, all that kept happening was the idler pulley kept rolling off the edge due to the fact there is less support. It took me 3 attempts to figure out the webbing on the side of the block is different, 16 bent valves and 3 cam belt pings wasnt fun! It was with the early type tensioners so i dont know it the late square tooth kind is any different.

    Teach me to save money!
