Whats the crack with chroming ali?
Does it have to be coated then chromed?
Im not sure if chrome will look right. It will make the head stand out too much
don't all metals get a nickel coating followed by a chrome finish?
ally is always the oddball metal. the surface seems to oxidise no matter what. and it seems especially bad on engine components.
Yeah, from having a bash at electro plating, the part is nickel plated followed by chrome, sometimes it can go wrong... horribly wrong. Did try it on a rocker cover but don't know what happened with it, would of let you have it otherwise.
Ive had many parts fettled by Quality chrome over the years including one or two rocker covers.... Before any work began the underside of the cover was coated in a special lacqeur to prevent any material sticking to the inside. Their work is exceptional and prices are good too in my opinion.
