the mgbv8 was a waste of 2 things, an mgb & a v8, the low comp engine with that hideous inlet had about 135hp........ bl australia actually had a 6pot version of the b series, which fitted straight in & was apparently excellent.... but bl england simply wouldn't touch it

the british marina was actually the scariest car i ever drove.........you really never knew if it was going to turn...it felt like driving something with a rear diff lock on a grass field, it just pushed straight

If i had one, i would have to show it a V8. But with everything old like this, it will need hell of a load of revising to the body alone to cope with the extra grunt, if you were to fit a proper V8. Personally i would think a 3.0 straight six supra lump (80's) would look at home under there. Nice and smooth, quiet, cruiser (for what the car really is) and totally reliance.

It'll only feel scary if its done poorly. Driven one.. round a car park . Baby monaros are lazy... just gotta own a proper one, with choice bits, then it becomes very different.
