    What I would suggest. Seen velcro & all manner of bodges.
    maybe look at anodised superbike-motorcycle panel screws as something different to run of the mill stainless fasteners.

    make templates - (or i used previous fitted aftermarket cards) as a guide.. then used the black/cap'd number plates screws and caps
    "let me drive.. i won't make a fool out of you"
