At tyhe end of the day, the baby XE's are getting old & the design is evolving. It seems the 1.8 small block shares some common designs with it, so its a mix of old & new.

They arent on my shopping list yet.

iv just spoke to a rally mechanic and he said that putting a turbo on a 1.6 will be pants because of the serious turbo lag like the r5 turbos he said just put forged pistons, steel conrods, stage 3 head, high lift camshaft, throttle bodys, have the bottom end set up it would be plenty power with a live remap. he had a 1.6 8v gsi with 180bhp weather he is full of merd, i dont know.

i will now be selling my 2.0 SEH if anyones intrested?

Cracking book, very simple to understand, but has everything you need to know plus some, it's much better to really understand whats going on than to "know" a certain thing happens to work when you do x and y imo.
