what coil did you use???? the 1.0 has a 6v coil with a ballast resistor (the resistive wire), this is an old trick to help the car start easier on contact breaker ignition. there is also an extra wire from the starter solenoid which gives the coil the full 12volts to give it a big spark and it reverts back to 6v when you let go of the key.Originally Posted by Andy

standard 1300 coil.Started and ran fine with no problems

where is this wire? im converting from a 1.0 to a x16xe?
its the little black wire in your loom that runs down the n/s chassis leg that goes to your coil mate, i will have a lime green wire running by it thats the rv counter wire that runs to the negative on the coil
