    what coil did you use???? the 1.0 has a 6v coil with a ballast resistor (the resistive wire), this is an old trick to help the car start easier on contact breaker ignition. there is also an extra wire from the starter solenoid which gives the coil the full 12volts to give it a big spark and it reverts back to 6v when you let go of the key.

    on a std 'delco' coil on a 1300, it would give a weak spark. it might work ok, but if you then did an efi conversion, it won't work

    standard 1300 coil.Started and ran fine with no problems

    it should have had a weak spark, & thus run crap & give bad mpg

    its the little black wire in your loom that runs down the n/s chassis leg that goes to your coil mate, i will have a lime green wire running by it thats the rv counter wire that runs to the negative on the coil
