See I've come full circle & just want an all round modified car, kinda mid nineties OEM with every box ticked.

ICE systems are all about the setup. The amount of times I've got cars sounding better when the owners were bragging about the SQ is quite a few. Out of phase speakers is the biggest culprit, I have a good ear for it.

Of course, but spending £££ even ££££ on a stereo system is pointless and tbh you don't even need to spend many hundreds to get a good clear sound ime. Plus I doubt I'd be happier after spending that much money.

I'm not one for playing bass out the car that can be felt/heard 10 cars behind. That's just stupid, but I enjoy music and would like to make sure I hear a nice frequency range, hence me having a sub and lots of speakers not coz I wanna act like a c0ck.

For a decent SQ setup you will have to pay a little. I recommend Focal Utopias for components. Choose the rest carefully.

Agreed with CG (as per), repped mate I have a good ear for this type of thing also.

Put simply, if two speakers on two amps playing a sound don't act at the same time then you get phase difference. If this happens then, we technically call it, s*it sound

This can also casue phase cancellation where by the sound waves will cancel each other out prodcuing a poorer sound.

Same when in a studio recording. If the recording is out of phase then the recording it self will sound crap.

The most common cause of out of phase speakers is incorrect polarity, ( i.e when one speaker is pushing the other is pulling ) when that happens on a good system it really throws the whole thing out, after years of experience you do get a good ear for it, however sometimes i have to resort back to using the test equipment!

that only done by crossing the wires (i.e butting the + and - on one sub were its ment to be. and on the other sub the + on the - and the - on the +.
if you think you have done this all you have to it do is take a wire off one sub and if it sounds better/morebass just swap wires over

mixing sub will sound different as some sub will act different on different frequencies
