    Default Nova 3.2 v6 (z32se).....Turbo

well here is the start of what will in end in a 3.2 v6 nova, we managed to find a clean nova with only 46k original miles! its a fairly clean/ solid car, the floor, doors, legs are just about what they were like from the factory, the only places where there is a bit rust is slam panel, one patch on the inner wing and just starting to show on the arches, here's a few pics of the car.

    more to be added........

first thing to do was brakes, so we fitted some 288mm v6 front discs and calipers.

then started collecting parts for the build of the engine to make sure everything was up to scratch.

Then bought 2 back boxes so we can run twin exhaust systems straight from the manifolds back.

than just a couple of car mods.

    a few more parts

here's a few more bits collected for the build which need cleaning and painting.
    competition engine mounts

Nova strut brace which looks like it'll fit around the inlet ok.....soon find out though

some poly bushed bottom arms and rose joint tie bars with the option of lowering for the 6 speed boxes etc.

and we are going to use the bilstein front shocks for it.

we then moved on to giving it some seem welding just to be sure....

Then it was all clean back, rubbed down, primed and painted in the colour its going to end off, this is straight out the gun, needs a quick rub back and polish.....

we cleaned out the rear arches out and sprayed some stone chip around to keep it protected, no welding needed which i was happy about!

then it was time to give the speedlines a lick of paint (black to match the future body colour)

    then we tackled the 3.2 lump;
first thing we did was strip it down to the bottom end and check the bores and piston movement (all was fine there)
we also removed the paper filter housing to return it to the old style filter fitment and also removed the oil cooler as we are going to fit a front mount aftermarket item.

we then fitted a set of modded 2.5 v6 heads (smaller chamber for higher compression) fitted the 3.2 exhaust valves (sodium filled), 3.2 cams G/J, matched up the inlet ports to a 3.0 inlet divider

then did a pikie gas flow to removed the large lump the restricts the v6 engines on the exhaust sides (alot of meat come out of here)

then started putting it all together
the f18 box needed modding to fit the saab style gearbox face on the 3.2 block!

Great project mate, something quite different. Should shift and have plenty of grunt with that 3.2 in the front.

Interesting choice of gearbox. Will the F18 be able to take the power/torque of the lump?

Can't wait to see this fully finished.

yeah it should be fine mate, we ran a saab 2.5 v6 with a 75 shot on a f20 and it took it ok, with this being a long derv box it shouldn't take it out of it too much!
