Default *HOW TO* Remove rear quarter windows

as i did this today i thought it may help any one that hasnt removed them before, there are plenty of ways to do it but i found this way the easiest today.

started off at the top corner closest to the door, i wedged a thin screw driver up behind the rubber so i could then proceed to push the rest of the rubber outside the metal surrounding.

just by pushing along the rubber it goes the otherside of the window surrond, like so.

i did this along the top of the window and down the side nearest the tailgate, once this was done i then went back to where i started and got the corner rubber outside the surround.

once you've done this then press your palm against the window and push slowly, being carefull not to push it straight out onto the floor. you may end up crying otherwise.

when you get to this stage

you can then just lift the glass out and place it some where safe so it doesnt get broken.

Pretty much the same when removing the tailgate glass and windscreen too (just be careful not to flex it)

iainel is right, heres for the windscreen as i took it out today.

as with the above, start by putting a thin screw driver up behind the rubber. Then push along the rubber with another flat screw driver.

i did all the top of the windscreen and 3/4 down each side of the screen

once this done, push against the screen with the flat of your palm and then go outside and get ready to lift the screen out.

mine had sealer along the bottom edge so be carful to hold onto the glass whilst you lift the rubber out.

once done you should be left with this.

the windscreens normally have horrible black sealer all the way round. easiest thing to do is as brucer did and then cut the sealer with a stanley, otherwise it goes all stringy and everywhere and is a **** to clean off

Its the opposite apart fom when you first place the window you can use your fingers to put about half of the surround back into place, then use a screwdriver to do the rest

by the way, anyone that hasn't done this, the rear/front screens are harder to do than the side windows

i used string when i done mine.

and i also found my self having to pu**** into the small corners loads to get it looking right.

certainly not hard getting them in, just looking nice takes a bit of patience
