Default Throttle pot onto Jenvey ITB's

Hi. Last month mr boywer gave me a throttle pot, tho it is the correct MBE/Jenvey one - the ITB's stick open when full throttle.. you have to nudge the linkage back again and it flicks/slams shut again - this happens when you have the t.pot screwed on.. even just loosely.
With the t.pot off/removed/very loose it opens fully/shuts/doesnt catch/stick at all..

Now its not new, one thing maybe worth mentioning - it has been returned by another previous customer. Martin is adament the problem the old customer had wasnt to do with the t.pot and tho they changed it , it was a fuel pump issue..
I have rang martin days after picking it up about it sticking at full throttle and i think he was telling me i wasnt screwing the t.pot on straight..

Anyway i cant seem to fit it .. any gen?

Had a similar problem on a pair of Webers but it was simply the linkage getting jammed.

Sounds likely that the tps has a fault so I'd change it, I'll find out which one mine uses but I know it wasn't the cheapest option.

Cant you test the TPS when its off the TBS?

Just get a small flat-blade screw driver and see if it sticks when its fully turned?

Not sure what it is Stuart, the guy who supplied the Jenvey stuff advised I used it over anything OE or cheap.

I'll find out which one I had supplied, normally I would of just used the one they supply in the kit but I had to make a kit up for the Honda lump and I was advised to use a specific tps sensor rather than the Honda or usual one the Jenvey setup uses.

    Hi mate

You got a picture of it mate & what plugs on the end?
If its the same as mine you could borrow it for a few days before i get my throttle bodies set up.
I believe it to be a Jenvey pot with the 'sureseal' 3 pin plug on the end.

    Martin
