gearbox issues
ive got a c20xe runing with an f20 gearbox and im having problems.
i can select all gears but have to put it 2nd before i can get 1st and this is becoming a real pain as it is still quite hard to get 1st. but 3rd and 4th are fine then when i get to 5th i have to push it down then right and forward.
any ideas what this could be?

Have you flipped the white part of the universal joint on the gear linkage around where it meets the selector turret?
If you have, did you align the linkage using the drillbit method?
If you have, it sounds like the bushes in the linkage are worn out. They're no longer available so the best option is to buy or make a rose jointed one.
maybe a worn clutch?? had the same problem with a c14se and F10 box, try replacing it and se if that helps
