    Default Engine Fail !

    At christmas, my engine did a fail. Engine + Carbs + Water - Filters / Mountain pass = FTL



    The rod has snapped at both ends leaving this little critter poking out my crankcase.

    Also, Notice the starter motor which also did a Fail @ Life; after it was hit by the fail rod.

    I loved this engine like my own child...

    Nope... Had this built about 4 years ago; Head is a write off

    Well, the way is see it.... It served me very well , and it let-go because it took water in; so it didn't really fail me - More i failed it

    I'l just build a better one now

    same happened to mine last month luckily grp A head was fine but trick bottom end wasn't had to go back to standard bottom end and carb now for next event.

    gutted nick, sorry to hear about this, still as you say, with the experience you have though a better one will be easier to build
