    oh sorry i was thinking that the reverse light was on the O/S, so the fog light had to be on the other side. thanks

    always remeber your off side is the one furthest away from the curb and the neer side is neerest the kurb

    yep i know them :-) but i dont know why i thought that reverse was on o/s

    This is a common probem, it appears.

    if the switch and bulb are Ok take the switch out and run a test lead from the green/grey to yellow/grey. switch the sidelights on and test. If this brings the system back to life you have found a way round the problem! Just check the yellow warning light works as if not, this is an MOT fail as well.
