    Default Measurements required please..

I am soon to be fitting a new front panel (for the second time ) i have taken some pics to show where i need measureing..

Headlight clip slot to front edge of the lower front panel..

Scuttle panel (just under centre wiper hole) to back edge of bonnet slam panel..

Top edge of lower front panel to top of bonnet slam panel.

If people could take measurements of their own cars (i know a few are in a similar state of finish to mine) and post them up here i would be greatful. I couldnt measure my own car as it was wrong, hence me cutting out my old one.

    Thanks in advance.

what i did with my front panels (upper and lower)
i got them something like and drilled a few small
holes and put some self tappers in and tryed all the
panels on, then welded it when i got it look good.

Yeah, i'd rather measure and weld. Dont fancy the idea of screws and random holes everywhere. Thanks though.

More measurements please. Not doubting burgos (thanks BTW) just be handy to have a few to work from.

not being funny pete, you should self tap all parts in place, then try the bonnet and gaps lights ect before welding all up! you wouldnt be asking other wise? weld the small holes up later when you know it all fits tell me to stfu if you like! but thats what i would do mate

This is the best way to do it, and line up all other panels for fit before welding, even try the headlights in too, and remember welds contract when cooloing, the self tapers will hold all in place, you can fill them up when finished.

at the responses....and no measurements given!!!!

People have different ways of doing things. I have asked for measurements so i can tack it in place, be 100% sure then weld. But if screws is the way to do it....

Burgo, my reply wasnt meant to be rude (apologies to 7ova if i came across that way). Thats the problem with the internet...reading what someone has typed and not knowing what tone it was meant in.

If you could, that would be great. Did have a trail fit with screws today, still not much better. The bonnet fitted this time though So back to the drawing board!!

These are the shocking gaps i was presented with today...
