    Hi
just get a test lamp connect one end to earth. "door hinge"
touch other end one at a time to each wire
till you find constant live then conect to radio.
same again with ignition on till you find igntion live
and connect last one, should be earth "thick brown"
if you dont get the test lamp to light on any of the wires
first test, the test lamp its self across battery.
then try a different earth conection and try it all again.
if still no good you may have blown a fuse?
    good luck

Don't overlook the fuse in the back of the headunit either, mine had blown whilst trying to make the headunit work.

The above combination worked perfect for mine, it recognises ignition etc.

p.s. - You're headunit presumeably has a black plug attached. Some 'brand new in box' headunits come with a bit that goes into the that plug, and leaves you with the orginal headunit wires intact. I done this on mine - Basically this means that if you ever buy a another headunit, it will be a plug and play job as you have effectively attached a plug that fits most units

    (If you can understand that)

Why cant people leave the std ISO connector in place? Rather than chopping it out to be left with single wires.

My headunits just plug stright into my Novas standard head unit loom (however tha needed modding as GM place the live in a strange pin position)

Any headunit swap takes about 3 minutes.

Was this thread not for someone that didnt have the iso connector? As thats what I had with mine, all it had was ground, live and a block for the iffy 80s radio.
