    waste of money.

    Dont do it.

Pour a pint of new oil through the engine & out the sump when you drain it next time you do a lube service. This will carry out more sludge.

The flushes often remove the film of oil that is keeping high mileage engines running smooth.

ditto whaqt craig mentioned wouldnt use them just pour fresh oil through the engine until it comes out clean, get some cheap stuff (correct grade) and just put it in fire it up and then drop it again this will flush out anything

If an engines done 120k miles & never been flushed, why start now & waste good money?

I have heard stories of flushes being used & the engine grinds to a halt the following week etc. Because it washed out vital oil deposits that occupied the space generated by years of wear. Maybe use them from the off on a brand new motor but its just wastage tbh.
As said I drain the sump, leave it 10mins & pour a pint or so of fresh oil through it. You will see the fresh oil come out a bit mucky, thats good enough for me.

Money far better spent on a new rotor arm or brake pads. Things people are put off by because pouring in a can of flush is easier....

Alex's car loved the entire bottle of redex I put in there

I used to run a few tanks of optimax through my car to clean it out, which worked well. It really doesn't seem to like VPower though

    Good point..

All the advice I've always been given is to run a few litres of oil through the engine when changing oil.

Wouldn't recommend putting petrol or redex in where the oil goes though

Only good way to clean injectors is ultrasonically.

All's i do for engine flush is drain the oil when hot, keep the same filter on.
Fill engine with some 20/50 ?3 stuff, run that for 20miles.

Empty that when hot, fit new filter, fill with decent oil(10/40w semi synth)
