either im getting old or i am a mature young man! haha both sound like bull**** to me! earlier a 1.1 saxo came right up my **** while i was driving in a 50 zone! he then overtook and had 2 little girlies looking back at me! also with the badboy lexus lights! i just laughed and didnt even entertain him........but then i felt old and boring! there was a time where i would have chased/raced him but now i just cant be ****d! anyone else the same?

I know how you mean, I can't be bothered to chase some little mug as he'll probably do something unexpected and dangerous and I cannot be done with having my car pranged through their stupidity! I'll only play when its people who I know can drive and on our own terms, like through rural roads, not town or somewhere where it might be a bit sketchy. Don't want to be caught out and get any points either!

Chavs are usually too busy looking at my spoiler to overtake me. Although I do still get the odd ned (90% of the time in a saxo) who tries to overtake me going from a 30 to a 60 zone, clearly their 1.1 westcoast can out accelerate a 240bhp jap rally car...

i have a problem with other corsa drivers, this kid who has only been driving for 3 weeks was blabbing to my gf that he would beat me in reverse and that he is a 'driver' etc, claiming he had a 2.0 16v, so i said, lets have a look then, then he panicked and admited what it is, 1.2 8v, thinking mine was a 1.4, i took him to a dual carridgeway and left him way behind, then i told him its a 1.6 that has had a grand spent on it!

another time, some kid in a black corsa was near enough scraping my bumper, trying to be good with his chembo gf in the car, i just put my foot down in 3rd, by the time he approached the island, i was already round the other side coming back the other way!

I just get a lot of funny looks in the saloon full stop, oh and people laughing at me. But i never ever get chavs trying to race me. Even a Golf GTi was a little unsure of trying it on last night. I let him go as i wanted his reg number so followed him for a little bit.

I think its because when you know you can blitz someone if you want to, you dont feel the need to. When i had my 1L mini i used to drive that like a knob because i thought i had summat to prove, and it was like that through nearly all of my cars till i got my 205 GTi then i realised it was pointless racing people that i knew i could beat ( i also realised how much of a ****er i must of looked as well! )
