    does the need porting or is it a sealed one ?? if its a sealed one it will sound naff ported

    its a sealed box but the subs only punch and i want a bit of deeper bass.

    It wont sound naff if you port a sealed box as it will no longer be a sealed box and will be just as good as a ported box.

    And why cut a port 2-3"? Cut the hole the size of the port that you have. Its no good cutting a hole that size if your port is smaller!
