    Default False floor and rollcages

    ive stripped out everything from behind the driver and passenger seat and plannin to fit a roll cage but need sum help

    1) firstly how do u make a false floor for the entire back of the car to tidy it up a bit

    2) secondly wheres the best place to get a roll cage

    im in the process of doignthis myself, havnt started the flooryet so dnt kno bestway any ideas???

    cud cut around the boot carpet to tget that shape but the nud have to template ur own for the seating area


    cages fone SAFETY DEVICES and get a rear cage with fixed diagonal

    unless uwant front cage etc etc

    thats wat im doing iv jus brought sum carbon buckets and a SD cage next is to find a strut brace of same diameter and fit the 18s

    Make a template for the floor (could use carpet for the rear section).

    Then you'd cut it out using mdf (use two pieces).

    Make 'rafters' or whatever they're called to go under it, to keep it level/supported.

    Then 'carpet' (in choice of material).

    I'd just have it all painted/polished (angle grind off all fixings not used, smooth fith filler), and stick an alloy fuel cell into the spare wheel well. Looks LOADS better, and lighter too.

    I've done several false floors for people. My latest interior is to be featured in TV in the next month or so. Chris_T aka Nova_Chris aka erm lots of other names (guy with the Blue 2.0 on White Speedlines) had his car photographed last week. I'm sure he'll put up some pics soon enough.

    What ever you do, don't cut round the carpet it's not a tight fit. I'm selling these if your feeling lasy :? Otherwise fix a peice of wood to the car and measure from it to the shell, this will give you a template.

    dave mate can you get to the spare wheel still in yours? i never noticed a join in the floor at the last show?
