Default Is this 12" sub any good???

    Hi all,

I have noticed in my install that the rubber excursion cone on my 12W6 JL Audio sub has disintergrated due to age and the cone is now all flappy !

I am looking to replace the JL Audio one with a similar specced 12W6 . I have it wired using the two dual voice coils so ideally I want to use another dual voice coil with 6 ohms per coil.

Unfortunately I cannot seem to locate a replacement JL Audio one at a reasonable price (been looking for 4 months!) so was thinking about alternatives and found this :-

Anyone got any experience of SPL gear and any general comments??

    Joff

The way I have my amps set up its ideal for dual voice coils and I don't really want to have to start rewiring things at this time - ideally I would like this JL sub, but at £335 its a bit too much for me.....

I was looking on the bay at Lanzar who I have heard good things about in the past ....

This is £100 on the bay and is dual 4 ohm voice coils which is ideal

Have you had a look at audiobahn subs, a few mates have had them over the years and the quality is brilliant, not sure which they had though.

If you want good bass i wouldn't have gone for them, had two of these and for the watts that they clame to have they are ****

the orginal pioneer spl's are the ones you want same watt's but bloody impressive for the price, one will hit 140db on its own

I picked up a Pioneer W307D2 (baby version of the one above?) for £30 odd new and it's been awesome.
