Default Best App to create PDF.

As above really, want to back up some of documents I have to PDF so I 1) stop needing to reference my books or documents, 2) stop these original documents from being damaged 3) file away original documents to save some space.

There are quite a few programs out there that can 'make a pdf' file but I want a decent program that can use jpegs and also allow some word documents to be changed over too.

Anyone recommend a particular programs? Does PNG admin use pdf converters?

Any genage will be very helpful

    Thanks

Must of the designs I do are done through Adobe applications, Illustrator, Photoshop and Indesign all of which are programmes used through out the print industry.
All of the programmes come with the ability to make a PDF auotmatically.

Also some thing to help you CLICKY and CLICKY

I wouldn't pdf scans/images - you'll be able to get better compression just using jpgs or similar - all a pdf writer would do is up/down sample them depending on the settings anyway. To be honest most of the pro software won't be much use unless you're converting from it's native format. Cutepdf is a good free jobbie, installs as a printer so will work from any program.

If you already have images just play with formats/compression, you will save more than pdf-ing them. If you have adobe then fireworks would be your best bet.

The lastest version of MS Word allows you to open a .doc and save it as .pdf
