Default Corsa - A 1.6 GT from Portugal

    Hi everyone,

I got a Opel Corsa - A (Vauxhall Nova) in Portugal which i bought in 2000 and owned it since then and been modified throughout this years.

It started life as a 1.3 GT and now it has a 1.6 GSI engine carb'd (with 1.3 carb - Pierburg 2E3 one) apart of other mod's external and internal.

How it looks a while ago:

Since that time it's been slightly modified on the exterior and much on the interior and mechanically, as the next pics and description will prove:

Apart of the mod's pictured and described, it's been polybushed, front lower and rear upper arb's fitted and much more.

But, there's still more to do like finish the engine preparation, restauration to the bodyshell, refine the interior, etc.

The only bit concluded, i.e., the one that i won't any bit in the future will be the exterior which is at my own taste.

I almostforgot the most important reason why i won't modify the exterior of my Nova. Here it is:

    Hope you like it.

    Cheers

To keep the post up on top, i'm making a request for someone who can hook me up: a set of twin 40's with manifold and anciliaries to C16SE engine.

    All offers considered.

    Cheers

Hey Nuno, love the old style Portuguese plates you got on there. Brings back memories of my holidays in Alvor (near Portimão) in the early 80's. Is it legal to have oldtimer plates on a new(ish) car? Just wondering.

Nice car btw, I quite like the Mk1 grille/Mk2 bumper look. :-)

Hi m8, is legal to have those plates if the car is registered before 1990. As mine is a '89 model, no problems at all.

This combo was an idea i had in that time after saw some pics of british Novas with the same layout ( including one "how to" that i found in a website back in the day).

For future plans i'm willing to finish the mechanical part (engine, brakes and suspension) and sort the interior with something different which i didn't planned yet.

Thanks for the opinions and i'll keep you guys updated as soon as i get some news about my baby.
