he means you need to put them on the right way, so you dont turn the indicators on and thing "oooh automatic wipers :D"

Mk2's have the rear wiper switch on the stalk. A mk1 car has a toggle switch on the dash.

My old triumph acclaim had them that way round.. took me weeks to remember, then after having it a few months, it took weeks to get back out of the habit when i got my 1st nova!
Definately not the better way round!
