Not when you have fallen of it's defo cheaper to be alive FFS get it scaffolded and think how much you will save in repairs and painters etc for the bits you said you were gona do
You can use a ladder safely and yes probs a **** load of trips up and down but it keeps you fit
Hire a lightweight zip up tower scaffold. Only if you have the room to move about. Piece o pss to build yourself
yet another job interview today and it seemed to go well, should be interesting as my working patch will be the whole of England by the sounds of it lol
should know by tomorrow so fingers and legs crossed
Good luck TJ, hope you get it.

Looks tidy pie what's it going in?
Oooo that looks bloody lovely. Hope it's going in a Nova.
But looking at the manifold it wont be...
Jeff-tower scaffold.
£150 I paid for easy enough to work at the height youre doing.
That ladder is far too steep btw.
I know the ladder was too steep, because i wanted the keep the recomended three step overlap it barely reached. I only had 1 step overlap spare. roof work on a ladder Is supposed to have a 3 foot overheight on the lowest level but my ladder just wasn't tall enough. I had a 2000kg rope and full torso harness, so most of my weigh was on the rig luckily!!
i'm looking into an access tower, the problem is the small pavement down the side and private road access and pissy residents.
Cheers for the advice though.
Fukk em,a contractor would do the same. Its the only way, aslong as you put cones out to barrier yourself off (falling gear etc) then youre working well within H&S regulations,i know this as iv done a very boring course on working at height and coning areas off etc.
No worries, only other alternative is a cat ladder, which hooks over your ridge, but for this you ideally want a much bigger ladder than youre using to scale the roof onto it.
Hire one.Shouldnt be much, but I would consider getting a quote from a roofer as once you've hired all the gear it wont be much difference in price I dare say.
Roofer wanted £1300 eek!
No wonder us northerners take over your building sites down there
Finding out there's a big rally on tomorrow and it's only 15 mins drive from my new place :d Now know what I'm doing tomorrow :thumb:

Glad to see you got it sorted. Was the filter blocked? Hopefully see you next weekend.
You get that message I sent you last night?
No, it was fine, although I had filled the tank with 4 gallons of fuel (what I drained out) it was too low, added an additional 3 gallons, all OK, will fit a proper prefilter soon
Yes that looks very nice, will be a real handful I suspect with a 4.6 in it! Have you bought it yet?
I would but I think I would be sleeping in the garage with my parts lol
took the Vectra out for a little spin smells nice now ;)
