the welds are about as good as a sieve for being air tight and i warped the flange so it was heated up and bolted flat to the head to cool it. then ill reweld it tomorrow when i check it.
also will be picking up an XE block bored to 86.5, freshly ground crank next week so dont have to save up to get mine bored out etc...happy days!!
off to reweld the manifold...and fit the plating kit. but im not sure where they all go lol
looking good bub
slowly getting there :thumb:
That rubber pipes looks like socks from that V6 boot :D
got my nice new XE block delivered today bored out to 86.5mm with a 0.25mm oversized crank. spanking :d just need a set of bearings, 1 piston and thats the bottom end finished :d top end only needs a few more bits to finish it off but ive gone and bought another set of wheels so ill have to wait till they sell before i buy more stuff
Lovely build! You know by the way that you have you're carbs backwards on the manifold?
they are? i thought the butterfly was on the ouside
edit.
so i do....whoopsydoodle. best measure them up again and sort out the silicone hosing.
well the spacing between the different carbs will be the same, only the diameter will not fit i guess.
yep, iirc ill now need reducer tube from 2" to 1.75" which are like £9 each :(

some serious amount of welding going on there mate lol
you should see my tan lol lol
nothing like a welding tan mate lol so when do you think it will be on the road then? do you need to do some sort of engineers report/SUV test when doing something like this then?
looking good bub :)
if you stopped eating cake you'd get more done f lol
i have no idea lol, i havent touched it in about 2 months. been busy polishing stuff for people so i can buy bits. but im going to crack on so i can get the outside finished then move onto the interior which is going to be a pig to do...unless i weld up the bits ive cut and hide it with fabric lol.

https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net...04392087_n.jpg
looking goood bub :)
work has been slow, people keep giving me wheels -__- but ive finished the passenger sill and arch, just needs fillering now. other arch im hoping to do this weekend.
I have enough tube to make the cage and a pipe bender to do it, should be fun. ive cut more out of the tailgate to fit tubing all around the back. then as i was bringing it in from outside at work i dragged the tailgate along a bollard so theres now a huge dent in the back lol
Pics or your full of s**t lol
...only 7 months later but ive got some pictures haha

im getting there slowly ;) might slow down a bit more seeing as there is going to be a mini bubba comping along in september.
that would give me incentive to speed up as you will have less time when there is a sprog aroud the house
