unbolt it at where it meets the solid brake line and turn it till its almost 180 from where it is now, then retighten pipe.
It's another braided line & not solid, but I understand what you're saying, will let you know if it works.
Lovin your work as always bud!

were's the gloves gone ???? lol lol lol
Quite warm today so didn't need them lol I'm gonna start making sure no body parts are in future photos!
Nice work !
Was the EPAS column hard to wire in ? Where did you take the ignition live from ?
Surprisingly easy, used 6mm 50a thinwall wire to extend the main +ve/-ve wiring and followed the instructions on the RallyWiz controller for the rest.
Ignition live is from a switched relay I set up that is actually causing me some issues but the wires are very thin so any would do.

^That is what I was going to say.
Id just tap it the next size up (10mm?) an change the allen fitting that goes through the antivibe mount.
No can do mike, Due to the way the bolts are, Check the pic, They serve two purposes.
Oh I see now, I assumed (from the pic of the bolt) the larger hex head is removable from the actual allen bolt ~ like a spacer type affair. Helicoil it is then.
That method gets my vote too - nice work btw :thumb:Quote:

Good work dude
Nice work. I 3rd the brake pipe answer, it will "point" the other way once you spin it around.
Sorted the brake line out, not sure if it was the twisting or the other tweaking I did to it but it's clearing everything now:

Also got my fusebox mounted in the dash, all wiring is finished so getting the dash ready for mounting:

Good lad, glad your still motivated dude..
Choppy chop chop - mot time soon!
Headlight wiring down the inner wing has been finished now, with some convoluted tubing and waterproof tape:
http://iainel.co.uk/images/forums/NovaWIP2a/306.JPG
RH side wiring tucked under slam panel:
http://iainel.co.uk/images/forums/NovaWIP2a/307.JPG
Leaving a nice empty slam, nice nice:
http://iainel.co.uk/images/forums/NovaWIP2a/308.JPG
Fusebox holder shown on the previous page wasn't working so well, so welded up two brackets on the back of the dash:
http://iainel.co.uk/images/forums/NovaWIP2a/309.JPG
To get a bit better angle allowing me to connect the wires easier. Also got killswitch mounted in dash and made up a 'blank' so it even looks nice! lol
http://iainel.co.uk/images/forums/NovaWIP2a/310.JPG
Rubbish pic as it's dark but the carcass is fitted and killswitch/fusebox is now wired up:

cool iain, ive used strong adheiseived backed- C-clip holder-thingys to hold loom up against underside of slampanel, off the radiator.
If youre keen i can try and find these clip things.
I'm actually using the original C= shaped clips pressed through the slam in their original position, if you get me. Seems to keep it off the rad OK
Got all my wheels on, toe is set by eye so it's 'visibly' straight and I have some contact issues to deal with. RH side, tiebar contact:
http://iainel.co.uk/images/forums/NovaWIP2a/312.JPG
LH side, gearbox contact:

Ride height doesn't look great in the pics but I love the stance it has. Maybe it just looks mega low to me cos it's been 2 foot up on axle stands for 2 years lol

Interior is looking quite complete now, all electrics seem to be working as expected. Funny issue due to steering column relocation is the dials no longer line up with the wheel, but I don't care lol
http://iainel.co.uk/images/forums/NovaWIP2a/316.JPG
Battery wires cut down to length and tidied up also:
http://iainel.co.uk/images/forums/NovaWIP2a/317.JPG
Looking very nice Iain, progressed a hell of alot since the last time i saw it in the flesh
is this predominantly a track or road car?
Jeeebus its on all fours, next you will be telling me it drives lol
Re contact on full lock issues, scan Joffs thread or pm him about how he fixed this as he had the same for MOT, and made a cunning fix:d
Lastly, probably not an issue, but the way you have fitted your bolts in this pic....
http://iainel.co.uk/images/forums/NovaWIP2a/304.JPG
Should they not be the other way round, i know the chance of a nylock nut coming off is marginal, but in case it does, running the bolts the other way round, if the nut spins off, the bolt cant drop out!
I thought Haynes tells you that the bolt head should be towards the back of the car? Maybe I misread it.
Olly it's built with track in mind, but it'll probably do more road miles than track miles (running it in, weekend use, etc). Why do you ask?
Good to see it sat back down on the floor!!!
Replied to your other thread.
I wouldn't worry about the suspension bolts at all.
Ride height is Mental.... Too high!
RE full lock rubbing, Just chuck some smaller wheels on it for MOT?
I can appreciate wanting a nice clean looking bay, but when you've paid nigh on £300 for an open pit trackday, and you need to splice into your loom in a hurry, or on a sessioned day, 3 minutes before you're on track, as time is money, you'll no longer want to be taking the wing off, and radiator out to get to your wires...Quote:

you should be able to splice the hidden loom inside the car; passenger footwell area; so no worries like
Understand what you're saying Olly. Only put the wiring in the wing because I needed to relocate it in the first place (rollcage comes out where the original hole is). As Peester said I can splice that in the footwell, and can pull the slam panel wiring through from the front if I need to access that, but it's only front lights and radiator fan so can't see me needing to touch them.
the bolt usually goes in the front of the hub so the nut goes towards the back of the car, doesnt really matter tbh as long as its done up tight in the first place
And why would you need to do that before a track session?Quote:

Who needs to be on a track session, I own a nova, I know lolQuote:

I have cut hoses from my Vectra tow car before and used them on my Nova, infact my socket set is still missing its long 12mm socket as it joining a pipe on the vectra!
