made a start on getting the engine in today as I finished work early....didn't get to far but its one step closer!!!!

looks like I might have another early finish tomorrow so hopefully get the engine bolted in place! could have used a extra set of hands really I used my self as a engine crane braced one foot on the cross member and the other on the steering rack and managed to lift the engine in place but just couldn't get the bolts/nuts on to keep it there at the same time....never mind was a stupid idea anyway turns out engines and gearboxes are rather heavy lol
I am enjoying this event log of your calamities. Paint your XE cutout before the engine goes in!
May i ask what didn't you paint the bay.
nuts and bolts. washer bottle. header tank. gearbox.....it looks a bit samey right now but once its running i will be getting shiny bits and polishing bits of metal etc.... wasnt a main concern before as it was just going to be a track slag

a friend of a friend lent it to me for beer money. its great light as anything and lifts suprisingly high for the size of it
lol wish i kept that crane burgo would have saved me a lot of ball ache
