Then i decided to try something i had been thinking about doing for a while now...

Got a set of spear rear lights and some red tint spray

Didn't work quite to plan, the tint bled under the tape!

I'll try cleaning the bit thats bled off and see how it looks.

I then found some clear rear's i had also laying about in the shed!

So as my dad was willing to do it, i let him loose with a dremal on them..

The idea is to use clear bulbs with color elements or LED's

Two nice even coats later and they are almost the same red-ness as the GM set.

If it was not for a slight spec of dust on one of them you wouldn't know they were tint sprayed.

Lights acualy look good, ive been wanting to do that for ages but never found any clear rears cheap enough for my shallow pockets lol

L.e.d bulbs are ftw mate i have them on mine :)

If you try to redo your experiment try ising strips of black electrical tape, it shouldnt bleed under the tape that way bud!

Ive just gotten some clear rear and im trying to decide how/what to do on them!

Nice job on those lights.
