bent the hole where the steering rack goes in a bit so bash her back with a hammer soon. also i think i may have broke the steering column surround?

Go inside the car, the inside of the servo is there. Pull it towards the dash and theres a pin that pulls out.
ive got a mk2 astra estate, its getting raced on the 14th tho... still fresh atm....

then the rust set in on the rear arches...so they were welded and painted black, then the whole car went black. lol its a tailgate :p you didnt see the brown dash that was cut up lol.
ive seen a corsa b boot lid welded into one before to make the back window
been to the scrappy today and picked up a near rot free mk3 astra estate tailgate (bit of rust under the grab handle) :d did a quick lineup in the dark and its a very good fit. will need a slight bit of chopping to fit properly. ill get some pictures tomorrow in the daylight.
does anyone know how to get the glass out? is it the same way as a nova

no pull the seal out and prise the window out :d managed to get the nova one out in one piece :p
yeah your best of buying a new rubber and cutting it out of the old one as a window is more expensive than a rubber (just incase you break it)
i gota be honest bubba i hate what you have done to the dash and tailgate but im liking the fact you coverd your car in tape and puled off the paint for your mates memorial....will be good when its finished.keep it up bubb

I thought the Asstra Mk2 tailgate was the one to fit?
it is...but i couldnt find one anywhere. so im going to attempt to fit the mk3. tbh it doesnt look like it needs masses amounts to make it fit :p whats the worst that could go wrong lol
Just needs the light cutouts extending up a bit then a ton of filler and it'll be reet lol
thats the plan...although ill try and weld as much as possile. dont really want to use filler if i can help it.
New front panel this weekend from Santa lol also electric rear window would be cool
lol the bootlid has speaker pods which i never knew. and that front panel will be plated.
cracked on today...got the nova tail gate finished, bar the fillering. wiper hole filled, the two holes where i chopped the EARLY TAILGATE in half :p and the seam was ground down.

i did start grinding the arches back...then realised that half of them is fibreglass lol lol cant weld to that stuff :(
