Theres a breakers local to me that has 3 Daewoo Lanos in that have the small block GM engines in. There website is www.stockautobreakers.com.

Im going there in the next couple of weeks as they have a couple of novas there and typicaly the land has been sold and they have got to be gone by the end of january.

If you want to speak to them and see if they have what you want. They will take it off for you and Ill collect one or if need be Ill take one off.

Its an old school beakers where your still aloud to go and climb about on the cars. None of the health and saftey crap like the salvage yards you now get :)

I rang them this morning and they reckon there's no Lanos's left now! Apparently they've been having a clearout. Gutted.

This spaceframe Integra I just spotted for sale is rather inspirational, very neat packaging of the engine and ancillaries in particular;

I've just found a Daewoo Lanos less than 2 miles from me which I have bought for £120. Seemed like the easiest way to get the complete gearbox with hydraulic clutch mechanism.

It's got a 1349cc Vauxhall-based 8v engine, I haven't done any research yet, but this seems like an odd engine size compared to what was fitted into Vauxhalls.
