Just thinking it looks about right to go behind a grill..
Frontera ones go behind the one piece grill with a let so would be ok with yours scott
I think it would fit well behind with a bit of careful modding to the back of the bumper maybe. Why not try.. I could send you a link for one if you like Scott!
More good progress Dan :thumb: Aye the sealer bit is dire, be scrapping it off yer fingers for a week and thats using gloves :wtf:
Cheers Kev, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now anyway :)

Finished it at around 2, I then got some lunch and cracked on with the Nova. Started by finishing the sill.

Getting there mate great effort!
Cheers guys, means a lot :)
are you doing it today or with Zoe?
Well the car was becoming a bit of a tip. There were lose bolts, brackets, tools etc every where so I decided today to organize the lot. I started with the battery tray which was full of engine bay bolts, mounts and general crap. I gutted it all and brushed it out leaving me with this!

https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net...28460257_n.jpg
I then got a load of storage boxes out the garage and slowly bagged all the bolts up etc and put them with the associated part. Then I gutted the interior and did the same.
Leaving me with this :)

I then offered up the wing to the new sill. Fits well :)
https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net...91213787_n.jpg
And put my fresh bonnet on as it was in the way.
https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net...59124668_n.jpg
Then I went to the Girlfriends for a BBQ, good times :)
Ahh if you squint it kinda looks like its going back together lol. Looks like a car again with the bonnet and wing on. Wish i could of had a bbq today :(
It will be soon Connor :)
Just been told that my welding is ****... best get some one else in to do it I guess! W&nkers lol
Well I got back from work today at 5.51 and guess what,... I did more work on my car... IN THE SUN :)
I made the wing and the door fit the sill better with the aid of a block and a hammer. Then I preped the wing with 400wet and dry, panel wiped it and sprayed it with grey primer.
What do you think. I think it fits miles better than most original Novas wings do!

Overall I am very pleased with it and plan to do the other side tomorrow.. Good times :)
That is a good gap dude, good going!
Cheers Scott. the door used to stick out nearly 10mm past the door and the wing stuck out a good few mm past the door so overall pretty tidy now :)
that wing looks spot on mate, primer looks really goos to.
Cheers Sam :)
looks good, jealous of your solid battery tray lol I did laugh when you were pointing out those microscopic flaws in the wing though lol
Problem is, it's not a proper Nova now, you should be able to see the panel gaps from space lol
Well I was ashamed at the lack of effort I have put in recently after seeing Craigs GTE project so I thought I best get my **** in the garage and finally get the wheel Lacquered.
I used 2k Lacquer as I wanted a deep shine,
Here is the results. Not perfect but pretty good I think :)

https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net...94691100_n.jpg
I have also stripped the long Shaft and found out why it was knocking,
Cleaned up the Tapered shaft.
https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net...86570613_n.jpg
And the Big block inner.
https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net...89042219_n.jpg
And here centre of the outer, Looks to be the part at fault!
https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net...89980191_n.jpg
I have sourced a New outer off Lewis so all is good.
While the Wheels were drying I gave the outer a coat of primer. I will be doing them silver and the shafts black enamal like the rest of the steering/suspension components :)

Any way that is all for tonight.
Wheels look mega.
Wasn't aware I gave you an inner joint lol thought you wanted an outer? and i've not given you that yet lol
ah that makes more sense lol
Cracking job on the wheels mate, they look superb :thumb:
Cheers Craig. They do have the odd bit of dust/crap in them but they look the part still! Should hopefully get the tyres on soon :)
I'll keep checking for updates mate,no slacking!! lol
awesome job on the wheels mate
Cheers Sam, Yeah they come out pretty well tbh!
Love the fact you've put the wheels aren't perfect but to me from the picture it looks spot on, well done on the build progress so far ;)
