So back out on the car today i decided to make a small cover from foamex to try keep some of the weather elements out/off the wiper set up.

I also got the wires soldered up together and heat shrunk etc.

I am pleased to say the motor works!

But not so pleased to say the wiper wont work as nob head opened up the hole on the linkage to fit the ford motor and now it's not gripping, so I'll have to weld a washer onto it or something! lol

Do that later or tomo as it's raining now.

you should of said before starting all this mate as i should be off to the breakers this week and could of got you the zx linkage and ive got a propper nova motor some were in the lock up lol.
you could of had it for free.

So after ealier's cock up i rushed over to my mate Mike's (mikec123)
I took an assortment of washers and nova odds and sods to try rectify the linkage hole i drilled out to big.

So i found an old nova wiper arm end, welded the AX one to it, then hack sawed it off (i learned to weld *ish* as well) lol so it's not amazing but it's done the trick!

This ment it was working :) then i noticed the wiper arm was catching slightly on the window rubber, so i remover the arm and got modifying it!

Hack sawed two bits off either side that touched the window rubber.

Thanks for the offer dude, your a god lad, always willing to help me out.

But i have to learn by my own mistakes (i have lol) and start getting on with things my self, im also starting to feel alot more into the car, as it's rewarding seing ive done some thing to it. :D

It's about the same mate, though mine is set to sweep it's max over the drivers side, I didn't do to bad eh! lol

mine is at full sweep both sides as it cant go any firther as the blade is already hitting the rubber lol

Tomo's plan, my mate's bringing the welder over and we are welding up loads of holes that Chris 16v left in the floor! lol

So as said Mike came round today and we got busy with welding the holes Chris 16v had left all over the floor
(i wanted these done as not sure how the M.O.T tester would look upon them)

Hole's before any welding, just sanded back etc.

Used some washers i had kicking about to over lap the hole then weld round them, and in them, i had a go on some of them, but mike did most, the welder kept playing up, either bad earth's or wire feed played up..grr

Can see also a patch we had to put in to cover a hole on a tricky bit.

So that's most of the drives side done (bar one near the front leg of cage, and one near the fuel lines)
Either do the passenger side tomo or at weekend.
