Im looking for an autograss nova,is this for sale??
lol
Great car mate well done, attention to detail is spot on,really well done!!!
Just been in the garage for 10mins, sorted all the fails but the seat belt bracket
Maybe my usual paranoia but the coolent looks a little brown :( maybe just rusty water ways ?
And there is too much travel on the brake pedal even with engine running
Adjust the self adjustment stuff manually on the rear brakes ? Or the bolt on the pedal?
Could bleed the brakes for the 3rd time
Didn't think the pics came out that well tbh, I will get some better ones soon
Thanks for the comments everyone
There is adjustment on the pedal linkage but careful not to over do it as they can bind.
Run the engine in then drop the coolant and change it when you do the oil.
What seatbelt bracket needs sorting?
Looking swish Edd, much more cosmetic bits to do on the outside?
Not 100% sold on the wheels, maybe a slightly lower stance would help them suit IMO?
Looking good! :)
The bit that bolts too the seat subframe that your clip the belt into, I didn't bother fitting one lol
Good idea on the coolent
Tbh I have never ever had too adjust the pedal, I will have a look
Cheers, yep I think it might need too be a little bit lower, I will seen once it all settles down
Cheers John

Well done , will look even better with the decals. It's a credit to you for doing it slightly different to the norm without anything looking out of place.
Well done Edd!! Really stands out due to the used parts. +rep!
Looks great! Are you going to fit sport decals? Personally I'd leave it as it sits! Perfect!
I really like how different but normal this is!
Excellent work mate, im jealous!
Cheers, I have tried to be a bit different but still keep it looking original
Thanks Jeffrey, yours is looking good too
Thanks mate, think I prefer the GMS spoiler to a plough as well, it will certainly be better for airflow when I fit a intercooler
I have considered the colour of the cage, brown or a matt black are in my thoughts. Still thinking bout taking the front section out
Cheers, it does look good but I still want the decals fitted :)
Thanks mate, thinking it might need to be lower tho, Iain has got me thinking bout this lol
Sorted all the fails now, ready for retest on Monday
Edd
You know what Edd I agree with Keith..... I think it looks fantastic as it is and due to the fact you are doing things differently throughout the whole car to a stock sport I think It would be another way of gaining yet more individuality. Which is rather difficult nowadays to say the least! On another note I hope you make it to the vboa bash In july as Im looking forward to having a look round it. All the best with the retest!
Edit..... I also think the gms bib is the perfect choice as ploughs seem the more obvious way to go nowadays which is not what your build has been about. Its all come together so well Edd quite simply excellent and well done throughout.
Nick.
Every time i see a hit on this thread i look at it and like it even more, what a car!
Edd that really is looking spectacular. Hats off to you and credit where is due :thumb:
Well done Edd, cracking looking car and very individual, built to your taste,
Flock the f**k out that cage and keep it lol
Looking really good Edd, be nice to have a look round it at Billing.
Thanks Nick, I didn't think I would like the GMS spoiler but I now think it suits it perfect
With the decals, I think they make the Sport a Sport tbh, think it may look a little bare
Cheers mate
Thanks very much
Cheers, not sure what to do with the cage tbh, might remove the front it looks stupid without the doorbars on, with them on you have to get in Dukes of Hazzard style lol
Cheers mate, I will be there all being well, anyone is welcome to look round it, although I don't think its perfect yet
Edd
Past the retest :d
Its fcuking awesome lol done 35 miles
Few issues, needed to adjust the gear linkage
And have some play in the left front wheel bearing, hoping to tighten it up, will the bearing be fcuked ?
Few pics from the trip out

VERY VERY pleased with it, so awesome to be driving it :)
Edd
Looks fantastic Edd. All the hard work paid off. :thumb:
.
I would check your bearing, my MOT friend commented on the front offside wheel bearing when I first re MOT'd the SR, was OK, but thought there was a rumble (it was built with new bearings)
First long run out, Billing 2007 front bearing collapsed on the way home, ended up like:cry:

On the back of an AA transporter:roll:

Fronts bearings arn't adjustable dude....
Looks awesome dude!
Cheers Danny
Thats what im worried about mate
Cheers Benn
So there wasn't any play, now there is, new bearing needed ?
Im worried if I just do it up I will have the problem Royston had on the way to Billing for example
Looking tidy that Edd.
looks fantastic edd, a real credit to your blood, sweat and tears, i cant wait to get back out in mine(one day lol), for the sake of £12 or so i'd replace the bearing for peace of mind tbh
The bearings are pressed into the hub as you know, there is no adjustment, the cv joint assembly holds it together, they are matched when the bearings are built.
I think I must have brinelled the one that failed when I installed mine, too much effort in the big vice:roll:
Would suggest just changing it, they aren't expensive, just a pain to do, especially just having finished her, just look at what happened to me after I ignored a friendly warning;)
Check the hub nuts are tight. Like crap your pants tight. If there's still play, change them over. Find a branch of my work close and i'll book you one out..lol
just checked the hub nut, its tight, had breaker bar on it and standing on it lol
there is about 4/5 mm of play
new bearing me thinks
hope it dont need new bearings every 35 miles lol
i now thinking it might look good without the decals  lol
think i will fit the matt black B piller vinyl and wind deflectors that i have and make decision about the declas
Well done edd, great to see you out and about in it,
Just a note on the bearings, my mates Astra needed new front bearings after sitting on its wheels with no shafts in it for about 2 years, we were told that due to the hearing not being tight in place caused the failure,
I'd just replace both for good peace of mind, after all it's not a lot of cash to do it.
Lovely car Edd, I bet it puts a grin on your face every time you put your foot down.
It needs the Sport graphics IMO... it's a Sport you know lol
Cheers Mike
Thanks mate
It was never sat without cv's bolted in
The bearings are cheap ones tho, I have now ordered a pair from Vauxhall
They should be here thursday, need to drive it again lol
Certainly does put a smile on my face, I could of drove it all night if the bearing hadn't of fcuked lol
Sport decals will be going on, but as I can't afford the paint work till next month it will stay naked till then lol
Love it! Still wouldn't fit the decals though. If anything i'd just do the dealersport stripes.
edd i've got a press if you need me to fit them together for you
You got me thinking bout the decals lol
Cheers Si, might take you up on that, need to catch up with you as well
This turned up today
http://i499.photobucket.com/albums/r...5-30191623.jpg
New rear brackets for mudflaps, I will crack them on asap
Pick up a pair of genuine bearings tomorrow
Edd
For some reason maybe Keith is right sooooo... how about maybe a triple pinstripe down the side in orange red and grey to complement the Sport colours, not in your face and maybe a little stylish... or am I talking crud lol
shop a photo and lets get a poll going :)
