Dar is an legand. After speaking to him many a times, you know you are in safe hands with him at the helm.
Looking good mate! only just seen this post!
Great progress thread, nice work!
Could you please post some pics of internal linkage please! and some measurements where to cut holwe etc, my engine isnt in, so anything would be of some help.
Thanks
Looking good scott, I drove that shell up the M6 in 2005 when we had to tow my nova home. Chris used his AA for me, top bloke :D
Keith
Just few more pics.
Yummy gold Bonnet pins (good choice Dar)

Another engine bay pic
http://img249.imageshack.us/img249/8...800x600uj6.jpg
Now some of the seats in.
In this pic you can also see the internal linkage that i got from my sh1t old Astra mk2 shell that the engine came out off over 3years ago lol
And the battery cut off that Dar placed in the dash.
http://img249.imageshack.us/img249/8...800x600gk1.jpg
Then from the boot area, here you can see some of the relocated internal lines such as brakes and fittings etc,and the Red top30 dry cell battery in wheel well.
http://img249.imageshack.us/img249/6...800x600li9.jpg
Then from the drives side theres a pic of the dash (with some added switches ;) ) and my ebay bargain sparco wheel, you can see how the cage fits snug to the mk2 dash and the door bars are quite higher then SD cages.
http://img249.imageshack.us/img249/7...800x600lb6.jpg
And a crap pic off my phone of the seats and sparco harnes's from a front on view.

So thats all the progress pic's upto date now.:)

Does look cracking, just make sure you dont leave this one out in the rain for 2 years!!
lol i don't think that it help the old one was outside, but it was well gone in places before i had i think,as you saw there was some nasty none visible rot in that shell..Quote:

Alright Scott!
I can't believe i've only just noticed this thread lol Looks like you guys have been very busy! Some fantastic work going on there. So glad you didn't decide to give up like you nearly did a few months back. You've defo made the right decision.
Can't wait to see her on the road! We'll meet up again soon in the new year. Keep in touch.
Neil
TBh Scott this is the first time i have looked at this thread, got to say looking good.
Loved your old silk violet one also, keep up the good work
Cheers dude, glad you like it, should be ready to roll by end of Jan.
Scott
Good work, This isnt far off now :D
The car is now running :D
I also put on the other coilovers and drove around in it. The brakes are binding so they need to come off and I hope its just the sliders that need cleaning up.
I only took a piccy of one of the built up coilovers so not really worth putting up. The car feels fast enough though!!
