You need to fit an engine first!!!
I always used hammerite smooth on calipers, never had it come off
I think I have a set of standard rubber engine mounts if you need them? I am putting solids on mine.
I now that feeling, got 4 solid days next week to get my brakes, engine and fuel system in mine. Got to finish the engine off tomorrow.
ive already got some on hold mate and a new gte fuel tank, but cheers matey, really, really want to have another crack at welding it myself, so im getting a angle grinder tomorow as ive borrowed money from my daddy :) (just like old times lol) so the seems can be prepped and i can have another bash at it, going to practice on the inner arches so my crap welding skills are hidden lol
Practice on some old scrap first before you weld in the bay.
And a welder is only as good as the welder and if its set up nicely
ive practiced on a repair panel the only way i can get half decent welds if to do a blob wait for it to turn to a mild orange colour and do another blob half way on top of the last, takes ages but it works :/
tj, welding is meant to be quicker than rivetting....
what settings are you on??
bored of waitng around for other people to weld my bay, its only a vauxhall nova so its a ideal peice of **** to learn on imo
