Well she came home last week on Friday (massive thanks to Ernie for that one) and has sat for a week as Ive been busy doing other things (was hard to do) in the back of my mind all Ive wanted is to get the dam running, so today i went about sorting a few things..
First off was to put a new back box rubber on, then pop to the petrol station and get some petrol,£6.20 lighter in the pocket and shoved that in, tried to start it, Na no way,Nada not happening! Soooo...... whipped the plugs out changed them over, tried again... VROOMMM! BRaappp! POP POP! we were in action!
I was happy to say the least..:thumb: :D
So i let run for a bit then popped up the road and put bit more fuel in.
Few things im not sure on, as Ive not had a quaife LSD diff before, are they/do they whine a bit like a straight cut box??
and the calipers are seizing on a bit, so they need to come off again, other then that it's just little things left to sort to make it road legal (but no hurry as Ive not the cash at the mo)
Other things left to get done though, is fit/plumb in the up-front swirl pot system.
Not sure where to mount it,and need to fined out what pipes go where on the swirl pot??
Was thinking something like this..

change wiper linkage, heater blower, and sort the dash, thats annoying me some times the rev gage works on start then nothing, and then the fuel and oil work when they like, then the speedo don't work at all! lol
Just nice to have a Nova again..:)

Scott, Mount the pump as close to the fuel tank as possible, they are are a push pump, not a pull pump. So they dont do a good job of sucking fuel from so far away from the tank.

Nice work Scott! and for info my quaife LSD is not noisey at all!
-
Keith, he has a low pressure pump for the rear and a high pressure one for the injector rail. The pluming for the low pressure pump is all in there. The pumps just need swapping. Then he can mount the high pressure pump in the engine bay.
Scott your car should not whine at all.
How loud is it?
Did it whine when you took it for a little spin when you where around mine?
My car started whining just before the box let gohttp://www.bikemagic.com/forum/smili...sed_smiley.gif
It may be worth checking the gearbox fluid level. Although it was filled and it wasn't leaking. But well worth checking out all the same.

Nice to see you getting on with it.
At last lol.

Im in leicester again for the weekend, so i'll check the levels on the box when im home, it'soly very slight whine from it didnt notice it at yours dar.

Right....Brakes now sorted!
Gearbox noise, still not sure on it, i think it's just a combination of not having driven the car much and not knowing what it sound's like, as today when i tested the brakes (****ers locked on me lol they work alright) the noise was not so loud, so im thinking it might be just the fact i was not use to how god dam loud the car is etc..
So weather permitting i should get to give it a thrash this Sunday down Shakespeare race way! cant wait...
