Yeah that was a nice little surprise. :)
Working out where the holes where was a lil tricky..
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/IMG_0396.jpg
Did it, drilled holes, found out i got the angle wrong so had to re-drill one and slot the other a bit. Green lines are cause i was a little worried the holes where lower than before, but that's cause i have jacked the box up a bit higher too.

Yay all bolted on and holding the box up.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/IMG_0388.jpg
Now because i way over speced the mount there was a bit of trimming need.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/IMG_0399.jpg
But that is good, as i can use the excess as a shoulder for the top hole, as the hole it right center on the weld to the metal is two different heights. (welding it on tomoz in place of the washers)

Now with the mount on, the shaft is... Straight.

Hard to see i know, boot has a kink too which i need to adjust.
Top work Benn :)
Cheers dude... Cant wait to drive it again...
Nice work Benn
Looks like youve got some grease to clean up tho :(
Are you still messing around with that mount?!? Jeez..... lol
Hope you're well mate.
Cheers Ed, yeah i need to get the jet wash out..lol
Cheers Si, yeah i am. Interest has really been lacking...
Nice shaft.
Glad you sorted it mate, chroming mounts?
Yeah it would.. But will chrome plating take to the welding.....
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So i trimmed the mount down today...
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/IMG_0400.jpg
Now because where the holes needed to be, the top hole was on the welding, so each side was uneven. So i needed a spacer.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/IMG_0401.jpg
Trimmed it to fit, tack welded it on. Perfect spacer.
Had to tap the bottom gear box hole as it was a bit rough getting a bolt it, with that all clean i got the mount bolted up.
Then had to struggle like a funker to get the rear mount on, with alot of help from Dan and a prie bar, we got the rear mount in, got the gear linkage set up in two. Wheel cleaned on the inside and refitted. Dropped back on the ground for what seemed the first time in ages...(9th of sept i broke it..)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/IMG_0402.jpg
Started on the button, took it for a test drive and everything was ok. Let it warm up for awhile.
Looking at it, where i've had to pry bar the box it looks farther forward, so need to giggle it a bit on the rear mount adjustment to get it back a bit more as the shaft has a bit of angle on it, but no where ner what it did have. So all good.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/IMG_0403.jpg
See the bit more angle...

looking good benn :thumb:
Cheers Pie.
We (my lot on Mig) went to Janspeed on Sat, Nova made 222BHP and 234torque..

No, ph2 not fitted yet. That's the next job.
Was gonna say, bit down on power! Thats at the fly then I'm assuming mate?
Looks good as usual mate, i think you should always keep the polished wheels and GSi front bumper on no matter what though.
Yep, up on std so i'm happy. They do it at that wheels, we converted it over after.
Lewis, polished wheels are a nightmare to kep nice when its wet. Plus getting them muddy and more is a no no. Bumper was only still on as i've only touched the car to do the shaft/gearbox since i came back from Combe..
were are these new wheels then:witch:
222BHP... not bad!
Glad she's a runner again pal. You'll be surprised how much fun phase two actually is!!! No need for anymore in a nova imo.
Nick.
Cheers Nick, i'm happy it's all working too.
What wheels were looking at Benn ?
Looks like Nick J has another nova
Decent recent on the rollers
I did what these.. Polished lips with a painted center.. But the fitment is all wrong,

I noticed Nicks new buy too
lol wha?
Black centres and polished lips always looks a bit halfords spec to me tbh, no matter what the wheels are, just reminds me of well, their entire display racking of cheap fake splits with 1/2" of polished rim on them!
Yeah, they wouldn't have been black. But at et35 there isn't much chance...
you need some old revolutions on there with the polished lop, 15inch imo
Epic car Benn! Love that smoothed bay and coded gearbox! :thumb:
If you really want to run dished rims benn I think you need to start thinking arch flaring or widening urs ala dick raper style.
What size and offset are the wheels that are on there at the moment?
15" wont fit over my brakes i think... But pic me.
Thank you very much, very nice to hear.
I want dish, but not tomuch, i HATE flared straight arches, looks utter sh*te. Widening is ok tho, but not something i really wanna do at the mo..
15 or 16(want 16 really) et49-45, 5x110 is want i want, means they tuck in the arch real nice and i can stay low as poss.
Yeah same, till i saw their Ebay page...
They have an ebay page?
awesome as usual benn
