PV car issues!!!

well im realy wanting to go to this,but my car is in a shoddy state atm.so im wondering how many of you guys are going who dont have a show car,but have issues with rust etc(just gutted as i thought i could of had the car sorted by now,but thats not to be, as no funds in the bank yet!!).

Mine will be there and has rust. tbh it dont matter what it looks like at all its all about the numbers. dont be such a pussy and get it on the stand lol. you can park next to me and i bet yours will look better !

Its a vauxhall show anyway not a VW one where everyone has spent the last 6 years cleaning their cars so they can look at each others from a pre set distance.

mine has rust in places wanted to get it resprayed this winter but engine has saped all spare cash but at the end of the day its an 18 year old car its bound to have blemishes

Not on the Novaload stand but i'm going to be there in the daily driver XE which hasn't even had a wash in the 7 months i've owned it. Rust coming through on every panel!!

Its all about the numbers & participating.

Dont be intimidated by shiny LET builds & big money Novas. Not everyone wants or needs a car like that. If there is a std 1.3 SR somewhere, I'll perched next to that all weekend.

andy yours is a decent example of a nova, i say bring it, like adam said, you cant expect a daily driver that you go to work (building sites) in to be a show car standard, just get a can of calypso red paint from somewhere and spray that god awfull mess up of a weld red, and then come and get this lowering kit ive got for you and put that on, will be a clean example, dont forget theres going to be chav cars there, so i hardly think everyones going to say "thats a f*cking shed!) lol :thumb: GET HER DOWN 'POD!

I still have to dig out my nova from the back of a mates garage.It has been sitting there well over three years,but hopefully i will make it. I was looking for another nova just for this summer but her indoors told me if i buy another one i would end up living in it. lol

The bottom line IMO is......

If you arent overly satisfied by your Novas appearance. Take lots of pics of it at this years shows etc. Carry out all the necessary improvements over the winter or whatever & take it again next year & show off what you have achieved.

Too much emphasis on blinged out paintwork & not enough real driving going on I fancy.
