evening all,

i thought i'd have a play this afternoon, brought the cage back from the lock up and plonked it... :D it's cable tied to hold it still at the moment lol

i want a cage for the track, and can't really afford ?350 for a 6point at the moment, so think i'll fit this and go from there.

whats the best way to mount it? int he gte it was bolted in using m10 bolts and a full nut and a half nut with a large washer. it had a 3mm plate on the underside of the car.

opinions please :) :thumb:

Wheels look gash (no offence)

Cages really need to be welded or bolted in via welded in box section. Otherwise the feet of the cage could easily penetrate the thin floor of a Nova shell in a roll etc, in which case the cage would fall through the car (exageration) & pose quite a danger to your head.

I'll search you out a link to a guide perhaps.

I was never happy with the way i fitted it to my gte, and wanted to do things properly this time now I have tthe welder :)

I was going to plate the floor inside and outside.

A guide would be very much appreciated!

Too true... they have some round black rubber on them, they'll do for the road lol

My sentiments exactly.

Tbh I cant find what I wanted about cage fitting. Its not so much about adding extra plates but having profiled box section for the cage feet to stand on.

I'll keep searching.
