I did it, fairly easy in fact.

Started by removing the backing right across the top edge by 1-2 inches and got that level and stuck on to the 'bend' of the boot lid. Then with a hairdryer by your side and a thick cloth start peeling the rest of a bit at a time. I found with my vinyl it bent and stretched really easy over the contours. Remember to stick it down top first working to push air out side to side whilst working down. Any air trapped is a devil to get out. The overhang at the bottom and sides I cut approx 7mm to big and stretched it round. After a few day these parts unstuck a little so I applied some glue to help. I found with my vinyl that decals wouldn't stick to it without using some spray mount stuff.

Hope this helps, Iain

another tip is to make up some water washing up liquid in a spray bottle. spray that onto the boot/vinyl first, and it'll make positioning it easy and you can scrap out the water and stops air bubbles.
