View Full Version : 32/34 weber
ive read this thread http://www.pngclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=91087 but to me it didnt clear up wether a 32/34 carb will be sufficient for a 1.6.
It'll "work"
But you'll loose power over the original efi.
And you'll need a carb pump/reg, dizzy/coil
there is no original efi as its not originally a 1.6 ;)
Hmm. ok
But its now a 1600 yeah?
In which case, same applies :p
no it will be a 1540 i hope lol and i know mpi would be best but i want to run a standard airbox ;)

pancake airbox?
Not sure it fits under the bonnet of a Nova as the Weber carb stands a bit taller than a Pierburg.
Sure it'll fuel fine as they do the job on Land Rovers & Fiesta XR2's. Just have it jetted accordingly.

they must do as you can buy an adapter for them :thumb:
on 32/34 webbers's i have never seen the standard airbox.
Usually a panel filter sat on top of the carb....

Usually a panel filter sat on top of the carb....yes but that is usually because people actually want to get rid of the airbox, i dont

Replacement Weber 32/34 twin choke carburettor kit. The carb kit is complete with all fittings, instructions and is a direct replacement for the standard Pierberg carb. Will use the standard air cleaner or choose a Weber filter below. Gives improved throttle response and performance

Standard airbox does fit as that's what I ran mine on for 3 years after fitting the webber, just needs the snorkel taking off to get enough airflow.

I have a suitable adapter plate, new gasket and UFO stylee bin lid (it has to be modified slightly to accept the adapter plate).
I sold the 32/34 carb a while ago but still have the rest if you need drop us a PM?
and yes it does all fit under the bonnet :thumb:
